About Gabi

Hi there! I am a performer, teacher, and student currently based in Chicago, IL, but I was born and raised in San Diego, California. I feel unbelievably lucky to have grown up just minutes away from, and eventually work at, world-renowned venues such as The Old Globe, La Jolla Playhouse, and the San Diego Symphony.

In 2017, I discovered that winter lasts more than its allotted ¼ of the year, when I moved to Evanston, Illinois to study Theatre at Northwestern University. At Northwestern, I did musical improv with The Bix, was artistic director of Steam Heat, a musical theatre dance group, acted in Northwestern Sketch Television, and performed in many productions and films, both Wirtz (Mainstage) and StuCo. I also spent a summer studying Shakespeare at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London!

During the pandemic, I started my own teaching business on Zoom and now teach acting, singing, and dance to students in the greater Chicago area. Sharing my love for the arts with young people is such a joy!

I will graduate in June 2024 with a Masters in Speech, Language, and Learning from Northwestern University with a specialization in voice therapy for professional voice users.

My other interests include choreography, yoga, and extremely competitive Bananagrams. :)
